I've actually attempted this. Dunno why, absolutely impossible.

8 x 1000m meters in 2 min 28 sec with 3 min recovery
I once attempted a 1x100m + 2x200m + 3x300 +...+ 100 x 10000m but couldn't quite finish. I think I made it through 6x600m.
AM: 10 miles@6:00/pace
PM: 4mile tempo@20:00
12x400@.60 w/.60 second rest interval
bRUTAL.
I know a Kenyan runner living in a America that did a 40x400 at roughly 5k pace. Sounds tough as hell...
10k at 5k goal pace, I had to drop out halfway through though.
Well this workout wasnt impossible but for me that day it obv was. I cant remember if it was 4 or 5x 2000 at 5k pace- the only problem was it was like 95 degrees(the current weather reminded me) and for some reason we were running at like 430 instead of 630. The other 2-3 people who were there were like why are you doing that? I clearly was like oh itll be fine. So did the first one in more or less 615 and didnt feel good. 400 jog plus a little. Then did a 1600 in 510? or a little slower and stopped and felt very bad. I feel like i had scheduled 5 of them which was obv really stupid esp on that day so at that point i just stopped(too bad for this story that there arent any more horrifying details) and went to run the rest of the distance run w them but ended up just jogging a little. This was one of the dumbest workouts i ever attempted. im not even sure i was in that great of shape lol.
For me it was a 7 x 1400 meter 5K pace workout. Think the last two became 1000s or 1200s.

20 x 400, 100 meter jog inbetween each interval with 400 recovery inbetween each 5. 62 second quarters.......repeat 3 times
13 miles with the last half at goal HM pace. Only problem was I got a late start, so it was about 90 and climbing when I started the run (this was yesterday). 8 miles in I had to start taking walk breaks every 5 minutes to keep from passing out.
Probably would've been tough to start with, but combine that with running at noon and it was probably impossible.

- I actially did this for track workout for high school last year. It wasn't impossible but I did puke 2 times during it.

Does anyone remember that commercial from 1996 where Michael Johnson runs so fast that time goes backwards, all so he can buy a Mountain Dew? I tried that. Totally impossible.
