I have been running in lunarglide 2's. I tried on the lunarglide 3's the other day and they have more support due to the added midfoot strap. They are not as comfortable as the 2s for me and seem narrower. I think it's quite a bit different feel.
Did you just try them on? I always judge a shoe after the first 100 miles to give a thorough report.
I looove the LunarGlide 2 as a road shoe and will have the 3s in a week, hope they're at just as good.
I'll get back to you guys in a few weeks!
I love Lunarglide 2 so I felt like the Lunarglide 3 should be a great update of what made the Lunarglide 2 so great.
The 2's were more about cushioning with a bit of stability.
They were roomy in the toe box, the flywire and the heel cup were just enough to have a secure stride.
The 3's are definitly stability shoes if not motion control shoes!
I used to run in Saucony Stabil CS and the 3's remind me the Saucony in the transition part (i'm a midfoot striker).
Nike has increase the Dynamic Support and the Lunarlon is not as mushy as the 2's.
The new midfoot strap system is denitly more of a foot lock system than the Flywire. I like the Flywire though because it's like you don't feel it.
I like the new Heel Clip. Very nice feeling.
I first hit a 15k with my Lunarglide 3 on a pretty good pace (1:05') and I really liked it. The 3's are really more dynamic than the 2's.
I've just run a 10k with the 3's at a slow pace and they were OK. Compared to the 2's, they lack cushioning and were not as confortable as the 2's.
Overall, I really love the Lunarglide series. The 2's felt more confortable in many ways but the 3's are great improvement IMO. I like the fact they are more dynamic.
I'm a heavy runner (6'3 220) with a little pronation.

I run in them and I agree. I really loved the 2's. I like the 3's but the 2's were just more comfortable.
Where did the plastic bridge in the inner side of the shoes go on the 3? They were there on 1 and 2. I don't see them on 3 unless they're inside the foam. I was thinking maybe they made the 3 more neutral but from what I am reading here, maybe its the opposite.
They removed it but the foam on the inner side of the shoe is thicker than the 2's.
The LunarGlide 3's are a very, very big upgrade. But, in the end, the only way you can find out is if you wear them--assuming they fit. Shoes are different for different people, but most of the people I know (including a Nike sponsored team) believe this to be one of the best Nike trainers out there.
After running 150 miles I hung these up, as I mentioned I loved the LG2 and the LG3 is too firm, feels like there's not enough Lunarlon in the forefoot. Although they did feel good running at a faster pace, when I ran my regular runs in them they were too rigid, for me anyway.
Now I gotta look for a new shoe! I'm heading back to the old Pegasus until the LG4 come out...
Sorry I can't really comment on either of these iterations. However I have enjoyed running in Lunarglides 8 & 9. Unfortunately I cannot find anything re a Lunarglide 10 release date.
I believe these magnificent beasts are about to be consigned to the history books in order to facilitate React. Will there be a react replacement is what I is wondering?
The Odyssey React was supposed to be that shoe, but it seems to be inexplicably gone from the Nike website.
