I started XC preseason a little late and am a few weeks into a buildup that looks like this: 23, 40, 55, 70, 85, 93, 93, 93, 85 and then school.
What's the benefit of putting in a down week around 60-70? If I'm not worried about injury, am feeling good, and wanting to get as fit as possible before the fall, why do it?
