Walter's quote on the front page kinda made me chuckle a little. I mean, I understand you need to have confidence as a professional athlete and you don't want to hear the US 100&200m champ say, "Aw, I just hope I medal. I know I can't beat Usain Bolt." But WD's comments seem a bit unrealistic.
He says his top speed is equal to that of Bolt, and if he's with him at 40m then he knows Bolt won't be able to pull away from him. WTF? Last time I checked, Bolt has run 9.58 and 19.19. Does Dix think he can do that? Sure, UB is not in top form at the moment, but he is likely in 9.8 shape and Worlds are over a month from now.
And Powell is saying he's virtually a lock for the gold in Daegu. Man, I guess I can't blame these guys for talking a little smack and believing in themselves, but it's all a bit much. Personally, I hope Bolt serves a couple slices of humble pie in Daegu.
