I know it's 10 days away but look at the line up.

shootout at the monaco corral. whoo weee
something like 15 guys under 1306.
Plus lebid and sanches, for the obscurants among us.
I almost hope it is tactical to see these guys surging and elbowing - 10 guys think they deserve to be in the #3 spot on the rail - man that will be a great race.
but of course, universal will show 5 slow motion repeats of each of Vlasic's jumps during the race.
Real solid. An excellent showing of Americans!
wow, three Americans. Both Kris Solinski and Galan Rup can win the damn thing since Moh Fara is not running. Watch out
for Marga and Motrram!

You say that like it is a bad thing. ;-) I dislike the camera moving away from the races, but can't bring myself to complain about gratuitous Vlasic footage.
Farah is running and Lagat and Seven Kenyans.
Epic race. The only possible downside is too many runners. 20 by my count. Then again, maybe that will force it to be a fast race so that it gets strung out.
Sanchez, Lebid, Rono, and Jesus are about to get fricken SMOKED!

And a Bekele, and Merga, who I think will have a score to settle after getting outkicked the last time. Not to mention Isiah Koech.
No place to hide. You either have it on the day or you don't.
There aren't too many guys missing from that field. Btw, what ever happened Kemboi KEN and Sihine ETH and a few other Africans who came on the scene at 18/19 and should be peaking right now, but have disappered?
SOOOO SICKKKKKKKKK. Can Solinsky take down Farah? Will Teg or Mottram go sub 13 again? Will Rupp break 13? Can Rupp beat Solinsky? Could Teg be the first non-African? Can any of the Americans finally beat Lagat? Will anyone be able to beat Farah?
TOO MANY QUESTIONNZZZZ
Assuming KB isn't close to being his former self... this is basically the 2011 time trial World Championship for 5000m.

How true. And then we will be subjected to her insufferable posturing and preening for 5 minutes and watching her spend 2 more minutes putting on her warm ups.
During the 5K we will also be privileged to watch officials raking the long jump pit, numerous close up shots of a jumper's foot fouling at the take off, and a live interview with the 3rd place finisher in the shot put.
you're right. I fear, however, that this will turn into a tactical after a fast first 2K (split 5.08) with a winning time of 12.59. Galan Rup, Bernard Legat, Marga or KB will take it home.
Sihine hasn't disappeared. He did the 10k in Oregon. He's won silver in like every World Champs or Olympics in the last 6 years or so. Him and Kenenisa Bekele are doping bros.
Who will scratch this time, Rupp or Solinsky?
It's not KB in the race. It's his brother. And everybody in the race knows what Lagat showed against Laalou and Kiprop in 1500. 5000 emphasis or not, he still has that, and I suspect they're not going to test it. They have to figure out what they're going to do about it. No doubt he could double again if it wasn't for the stupid schedule in Deagu.
I look for somebody to take it out hard, from 600 if not the middle of the race. And if Lagat's still there with 200m to go, they're toast.
You could bet on at least eliud kipchoge pushing the pace
Would you look at that.
It will take a sub 13 to win this one, absent terrible conditions. If they run like they did on Sunday, there will be a waterfall finish with 8-9 guys. No one will want to deal with that.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
