but mo looks like he can't be beat in a tatical race ...
Out kicked Merga for 2nd, he is really coming along this season and I'm looking forward to seeing him break 13 in Monaco

Huge confidence booster, and I'm sure training with Mo who is shaping up as a medal favorite for Daegu is not hurting either.
I agree, he closed in what?, 54? No doubt he'll crush 13. He may not have won, but I think all the Rupp haters need to finally shut up.

Closing in 54 and running 13:06 is not the same a "crushing" 13. Get a grip on yourself. Clowns like you put too much pressure on someone like Rupp. He may never break 13, and he may never win a "real" race. So what!
What happened to ALAMIREW? Thought he was successor to Bekele.

he was referring to mo?
Are you for real... the guy went through 3k in 8.02, and finished in 13.06. He will run comfortably under 13 mins. I doubt he is concerned about the time though, out-kicking Merga and Alamirew (7.27 - 3k), indicates he is in shape for a medal at Worlds
Rupp really does seem to have matured--in several ways. He is, at this time much faster than Solinsky.
Yes, because I am sure he cares about what anyone on here has to say, not to mention congratulating him on a great run is more supportive than pressuring. He can run 12:54, he's got it in him. He was smiling at the end, no strain whatsoever, while Merga looked like he was shot.

I don't understand why I have to root for Galen Rupp.
I've never said he's not a great runner. He's just not one of the guys I like to root for.
A big question is what has happened to the Ethiopians? This is a subpar year for them for sure.
I'm not saying you need to, I'm referring to people who either bash him and/or are never satisfied with any of his efforts. You don't have to be a fan, but give credit where credit is due. He ran spectacularly.

Did you watch the 5000m at USAs? Lagat and Solinsky left Rupp in their wake.

Is there a new test out that the ethiopian coaches are aware of?

is there any reason rupp may have been running on a bit less fresh legs than them that day? i'm not saying he would have beat them in an apples to apples race, but closing a 10K in 1:52 prior to the 5000 is not going to have you coming in fresh.
