centro has just been so smooth, is Wheating snagged 4th he is in.
Would Lagat have won if he hadn't done the 5k?
Matthew Centrowitz Oregon 3:47.63
Bernard Lagat Nike 3:47.96
Leonel Manzano Nike 3:48.16
Andrew Wheating Oregon TC Elite 3:48.19
William Leer Nike 3:48.20
David Torrence Nike 3:48.31
Lopez Lomong Nike 3:48.54
Dorian Ulrey Arkansas 3:49.02
Kyle Miller Nike 3:49.38
Jordan McNamara Oregon TC Elite 3:49.61
AJ Acosta Oregon 3:50.02
Evan Jager Oregon TC Elite 3:50.11
Michael Hammond Virginia Tech 3:55.69
Let's start a #MattCentrowitz trend on twitter.
Places 3-7 (and particularly 3-6) are pretty freaking close. Wheating takes a beating and flies to the track. Sucks to be him.

it was anybody's race with how slow they ran the opening laps
3:47 :O LAST LAP -> 52.25 NOT even Lagat can hold him.... I think Lagat is going to pick 5000 @ daegu :D:D:D
in my opinion, the smartest guy in this race was hammond in DFL who was like, f*** this ish with 100m to go and just jogged it in. at least he can go out and party tonight. look at jager and ulrey giving it all they got against far superior kickers.
make an fn friend and agree to switch the lead every lap and take the race out hard!!!
Leer 51.85 :D:D:D
Lagat can probably count the number of people who have held him off down the final stretch with him on their shoulder on one hand.
does wheatign still go tho cause he got 4th? lagat said he's gonna do the 5k so that leaves a spot and manzano doesnt have the a standard so...?
Sooo Lagat went about 8 seconds FASTER the last 1500 of the 5k than anyone (including himself) went the ONLY 1500 of the 1500. That's pretty damn funny.

There's not one American man at this time with the A standard in the 1500m.
Yes.

If it would be 3:35 race today he would run also, his legs just weren't ready for sub11.80s last 100m ....
1. Lagat already said he's doing the 5k for sure. You can't do the double at worlds because of the schedule. This is on an interview on the homepage.
2. Yes, four people can go, Wheating is no matter what if he runs the A standard. Given that Lagat isn't running the next guy is also pretty much guaranteed if he runs the standard.

According to the USATF Status page, Wheating, Manzano, and Lagat all have the A standard. Centrowitz does not have the B standard. Does Wheating go and Centro doesn't unless he can get the B before August?
Lagat's closing 1500m in the 5,000m was much faster than this race.
If Lagat doesn't double and Centro doesn't hit the A, How far down do they go if someone else hits the A? Torrence? Leer? Lomong?
