Only ran 3:44 high?? WTF Brown?

very slow race, he got passed by Will Leer in the final 100 but didn't seem to be pushing that hard. Immediately afterwards he had his head in his hands if I could guess he was thinking "holly shit what just happened."
Yeah he just didn't run a smart race. Bush league mistake no doubt. That's too bad.

I had a feeling that was exactly how his race would go.
Geez. He ran a very stupid race.
Yeah. Don't know much about Brown except that I thought he was considered one of the favorites of the whole field. Let's just say, I thought he was much more accomplished than Jordan McNamara who did qualify.
UofO runners, former and current, definitely looked very good in those heats.
Russeel MF Brown!

Jordan benefited from being in a fast heat. He really looked like he was giving it everything at the end though. Unlike Brown, who looked like he bagged it in the final 100.

Even Acosta, who had not been running well, found his legs and got into the final. Major fail for Brown, and also surprising were Blankenship and Ulrey.

I've been rooting for him all year. When I saw his hands on his head, my heart sank. He's been working for YEARS for this.
I hope this isn't it for him.
John Jefferson looked strong, but appeared to be boxed in and tripped up a little in the last 150. Thought he had a shot.
Someone had to be the Webb this year.
He likely could have handled McNamara and Jager if he'd been in the first heat. But he wasn't.
Seemed like heat 3 had more in it than the others. Lagat, Lomong, Leer, Brown, Blankenship. Heat 1 was definitely the weakest.
he ran a solid race and when it comes down to a few meters difference in a kick you can't blame him for that. he stuck with it and had an unfortunate race. ease off
Terrible tactics by Brown and Heat 3, They knew close to what pace they needed to run, and they knew one spot was already going to be taken for sure with Lagat, so why go out in 64,63?????????

Because they've all got great kicks and will without question be able to get in the top 3, all 5 of them. Brown chose to do no work. On the other hand, the guys that did the work in heats 1 and 2 (Batty, C. Miller) didn't get through either. And guys that didn't did. Ulrey did no work in heat 2, had the situation handled to him and STILL couldn't get it done.
Brown will be fine.
it seems like heat 3 in the fifteen is always slow, despite the whole field knowing what time they need to get a q.
Brown will be fine? How? You mean he won't jump off a bridge or something?
This is truly the biggest disappointment of the night. Worse than Solinsky PUSSYING OUT LIKE A BITCH in the 10k. I love Brown's interviews and he's so motivated. WHAT THE F*** ... CRAPPY FIRST DAY OF US CHAMPS.
