Thanks guys, I tried cutting a hole in the insole and it has felt a little better today, also got a second shot from the podiatrist and picked up "Runner's Repair Manual" from the library.
Im not sure if the pain is in the sesamoid bone anymore, or just radiating towards that location because when the doc pushed on the bones today there was no pain but when I press other locations further back (towards my heel) it hurts. Don't know if I should attempt jogging on it and see how it feels.
Also, my orthotics are full lengthened and made out of cork so they're flexable. I had been running in them for 6 months after shin issues, and I stopped walking in them because I felt they were a little too rigid and putting too much pressure on the sesamoid. The only question is whether I should use them again when I do start running again since I haven't worn them in 6 weeks.
