I didn't think she was that fast! How many 800 runers have that kind of speed?

too bad she almost got lapped by Jessica Beard
Too bad she lost to a man :(
it's not her race, she did the relay for the team. If was the 4x800 it would be different...just saying!
your mama was running?
No Booker T was running.

just saying it wasn't the 4x800 so why bring it up?
Should she be running 400m instead of 800m?
wasn't she a state champion in the 400?
Hell, yeah. Year after year, in fact. She was also champion in the 100, 200, and 800. Year after year. There's nothing Laura Roesler can't do.
Yes. And the 100m, and the 200m, and the 800m.
pr's from Oregon website:
100 Meters - 11.90,
North Dakota State Meet,
Bismark, N.D., 5/23/08
200 Meters - 24.01,
BCS/CHS Invite,
Bismark, N.D., 4/23/10
400 Meters - 53.25,
North Dakota State Meet,
Bismark, N.D., 5/29/10
800 Meters - 2:03.08,
Jim Bush Invitational,
Los Angeles, Calif., 6/7/08
"Won six straight state titles at 400 meters, five straight at 200 and 800 meters, four at 100 meters and also claimed a pair of cross country titles. As a senior, captured state crowns at 200 (24.90), 400 (53.25) and 800 (2:17.64) meters and was second in the 100 (12.38). The 400 mark was a meet record and the seventh-fastest among high schoolers in 2010. Went on to compete in the 800 meters at the USA Junior Track & Field Championships, where she was the runner-up in 2:05.80. Wrapped prep career at the 2010 IAAF World Championships, where she ran a season-best 2:04.34 in the semifinals, missing the final by .01. That was the No. 2 U.S. high school 800 time in the nation in 2010."
These are VERY impressive stats. Being a California guy though, I am wondering how they compare to Prandini's marks. She just won the California 100 and 200 championships and will be Roesler's teammate at Oregon next year.

So go google and find Prandini's stats and make a comparison your self, lazy ass!
;-)
I googled it:
http://www.fresnobee.com/2011/06/04/2415325/clovis-prandini-caps-a-day-full.html
Prandini won the 100m/200m/lj at California States in wet/cool conditions in 11.69/23.81(?)/19'11 3/4"
Roesler didn't face that kind of competition in hs and might have run quite a bit faster with it.
to bad she didn't qualify in 800 finals?...in the Olympic Finals but couldnt make the ncaa finals
Amy Weissenbach of Harvard-Westlake, California. Ran 2:02.something for 800 and split 53.00 for the 4x4 and won it for HW despite being DQ'd. Only a junior too.
51.50 4 a 800 running is amazing
She had no business being Oregon's anchor and cost them a championship. Who care's if she's an 800 runner. Why not put a shot putter in there and say "damn, she's fast for a shot putter. I simply cannot understand Oregon's logic in putting her as anchor.
Could it be that with Amber Purvis injured, Laura Roesler was Oregon's fastest 400 meter runner? Fact, she did run the fastest leg in what is now the Oregon school record, and was faster than the time Oregon ran in winning the championship last year. If you don't understand that logic, you are beyond help.
