Seriously?
Seriously?
Yes. Pollen juice.
Yes years of training with the Kenyans at high altitude. Then he's gone to America again training with the best
Guess how many other British athlete bothered to do that (for more than a couple of wks). Zip
Of course who knows with any athlete but the suspicious one for EPO are those not training at altitude beacause you need one or the other
He's gradually improved over the years. A few seasons ago he was injured (remember him with those long compression socks) and that affecting him for a couple of years stalling his progress
I saw him win a junior race at Crystal Palace 15 yrs ago there was always a buzz about him
over a 30 seconds improvement?....U know you might have something...HELL....he looked like he could of run another 10000 at the same pace.
Either way it doesn't matter. He runs for Nike and Salazar.
showed promise as youth + rough start as pro + sudden improvement after joining OTC = America has arrived.
showed promise as youth + rough start as pro + sudden improvement after joining OTC + NOT WHITE = EPO.
Like he runs 10,000s all of the time so we should expect thin slivers. There was a pack of 25, then 20, then 17, then 9. Low wind, not too warm, runner focused on racing well at a quick pace without it being a pure time trial.
His other marks have indicated that he was more than a 27:20 guy, winning a decent Half etc.
Go find a log...
The ultimate compliment from letsrun: doping accusations.
What is he on? He's on his bike busting his ass 6 hours a day.
Of course. They issue all non-American athletes EPO at the start of each season.
The fact is... Mo has always been a massive talent. Last year when he ran 27.28, he front ran it the whole way and lapped the whole field... it was only a matter of time he would run that kind of time, when pushed.
national biases is all. If this were a European site, the posters would post accusations about Ritzenhein and other athletes. People find a trend of Salazar athletes having dramatic improvements in the first year with him is interesting. Also the fact that he has been associated with Lance Armstrong who is the biggest fraud in sports history.

why would salazar want any association with a man who is the subject of ongoing investigations and is clearly a doper by most accounts.

Nike. Money. Why would Chris Solinksy where a livestrong wristband?

It won't show up immediately, you know. You run 13:07-13:10/27:30 something for 4 years, and then - the years of hard training with Kenyans at altitude will manifest in a single race! It is called the "Gabby Rosa's altitude wonder".

When I come across thoughts and personalities like this, I can't believe that everyone has voting rights. I hope that elections are rigged.

BE GLAD THAT YOU ARE STILL A NAIVE KID. YOU STILL CAN ENJOY THE "SPORT". I CAN'T.
Yes, you nailed it!
what % of these guys are on drugs?
I now believe they ALL take drugs and that no one is completely clean. I have a pro source...he takes many many drugs. For a poor runner, they have the option of taking HGH to recover and stay healthy and keep running well or not taking anything and risk injury and unemployment. These people have family and friends depending on their winnings. It just doesn't make sense to not take drugs from their perspective when drug-making capabilities are years ahead of drug-testing capabilities. The extend to which drugs are used, or how many types are used may vary per athlete. Getting pros to stop using is similar to getting farmers to stop using fertilizer, it's often just economic suicide.
