*Week 386*
Greetings, 50+ers! First off, we warmly appreciate all of your condolences. It's been a pretty rough week, especially for my wife. She's now the oldest living in her immediate family.
Between this stomach bug that I picked up last weekend (probably from some kid during that Science Spooktacular we did last Saturday,) and an experiment that we were running all week down at UK, I've had no time or energy to run this week. So it 's an unplanned rest week for me. I did manage to get in a few (3) long walks (3-6 miles each,) but zero training. Hopefully, this lingering bug will run its course here shortly; for me, a heavy hack (which I've gotten to this morning) is usually a sign that it's nearing the end of its cycle. Fingers crossed......
Kudos on some great racing (stay the course, KCgeezer!) and associated reports from last week, and nice to see a few new posters with some good reports and interesting discussion. For now, I'm sitting on the sidelines desiring to get back in the game. Hope you've had a better week than me. Will enjoy racing vicariously through your reports.
All the Best!
PS-Good luck to my friends running NYCM or Marshall Marathon this AM.
