amkelley, if you go to www.staterunningrecords.com, you'll find my name and can send an email through that. Sorry, I hate to post my email address on here directly. Thanks! ML

Eleven years ago I had a twisted gut that resulted in emergency surgery and the loss of about a quarter of my large intestine.
Yikes! ? Was that running related?
Nope. Apparently I was born with a malformation that allowed such a twist to occur, but in most people the twist occurs in their first few years of life, not at age 49. All my adult life I had been plagued by occasional (1-2 times per year) debilitating attacks of abdominal pain and gas which were apparently when the gut would twist but then spontaneously twist back. Finally once it didn't twist back. Thankfully I had access to modern medical care.

Thanks, I found you. I agree completely about not posting your e-mail address on public bulletin boards. People who know me professionally know how to find me, but I get enough spam as it is.
Oh'' yeah! that's pretty cool. looks like it's more than a coincidence. I do like to run in the morning, and take my bike at evening. it is an E-bike, but I rarely use its electric features.

The most disconcerting thing is your gender confusion. A trendy thing I suppose.

That’s a very unfortunate statement.

It's called a sense of humor. You ought to try and develop one.

Ah, I'd missed that. Good job indeed, Allen!

The post was responding to a screen name I didn't recognize ... my first thought was to look on Page 1. I still don't get the point, though.
Head scratcher....

It’s not funny. It’s actually offensive.

For several years this thread was a last holdout of decency and civility on letsrun. A blip here and there but overall a supportive and inspiring place. But it's losing all that, succumbing to trollism and a bit of weirdness. Too bad.

I wouldn’t bury the thread quite yet. Good people sometimes do bad things. The “decency and civility” can get a reprise with a simple apology.
