like the idea but question wrote:
Are you turning around and walking back 150m, or going around the track for 250m recovery? (I get that the point is full recovery, but there's a bit of psychological magic in doing something similar to the way fast runners do it!). Thanks.
i usually just walk back diagonally across the infield, so probably about 130m of recovery...
by the way, CM, i will not be doing bolder boulder--i'm actually in boulder now, but will be leaving saturday. my father passed away last friday, and i've been here since. i am, however, putting it on the list for next year--it'll give me a chance to visit my stepmother who was really good to my dad. if you're interested, i think i will run the dashanddine5k tonight--i haven''t run since thursday, but i'm right down the block from it. good luck to you and C0l0rado with bolder boulder...
on the subject of not racing unless in top shape--if i did this, i probably wouldn't have raced at all over the last year. i think it's a good idea to take your lumps every now and then--for me, it makes me appreciate my more successful efforts, and i like racing. if i could distill my masters racing career into only the races i've run in my best shape, a poorer overall experience it would be. i'm also ok with calibrating individual goals per race to my current fitness, and recalibrating them as the season goes along...
just my dos pesos,
