good start, bad finish to the week for me
M 1:10 run
Tu 1:20 incl. 5 X 5:00 (3:00 recovery) at 5k pace -- averaged 89/lap, coming thru 1300 in about 4:49/4:50
W 45:00 easy
Th 1:20
F 60 spin class, 25 cooldown on elliptical
Sa 10:00 jog, 50:00 inclined treadmill walk, 35 bike
Su 20:00 jog, 60 inclined treadmill walk, 30 bike
preponderance of x-training near the end due to very stupid injury -- thurs. night walking to bedroom I shut out the light and proceeded to stub right little toe really hard on the wall
I was afraid it might be broken, but conversation with nurse on my insurance helpline convinced me just a bad bruise. Still purple/red and a bit swollen but not too painful. Doing lots of ice, elevating it when I'm sitting around watching world champs, "buddy taping" to next toe, etc.
I'm never happy to be injured, but it seems particularly frustrating when it is so pointless and easily avoided. Oh well, with any luck just a brief setback.
