Happy Thankfulness Week.
I'm grateful that my son's XC team won NAIA Nationals yesterday in Illinois. Congrats to the Southern Oregon Raiders!
Also happy with my own breakthrough in the retun to fitness. With little confidence or expectations ran 3 x mile on Geoff Hollister Trail with 2min rest and hit 6:08-6:05-6:03. Even better is that I wasn't sore the next day.
Train Smart To Race Well folks.

Nice workout also the downward direction of the splits must feel good.
Well I bumped up my hikes from 45 minutes to 90 minutes and did 2 runs on the hilly chips at Gledoveer. Last time I was bummed with running the same time 15:42 with the first uphll mile in 8:10 so on Tuesday I decided to try and run the first mile at the pace needed to break 15, 7:50 and came up with a 7:43 which was ok but it KMA. Today I decided to run the second mile first and shoot for a 7:20 hit the first quarter in 1:33 which was good and not hard but then felt the lack of endurance so I relaxed and settled in for a nice hard run. Hit 7:10 and decided to pick it up and play beat the clock. Hit 14:58 and pulse was only 174. I feel good too. Onward!
