I finished 6th in 22:08. 2nd place went to a 56 year old guy in 18:34. Not too shabby. So, for the 2nd race in a row, I finish in the top 6, but don't take Top 50s honors. Those 50 year olds are TOUGH.

Congrats on a nice race! 8 seconds is what I consider 'noise'. Race that one 3 times and you'd be under 22 flat at least once.
Boy howdy are the 50 year olds tough! Sheesh! I love it, keeps me motivated to try to catch these guys.
And a big congratulations to your daughter on 3rd female. That should motivate her to keep at it. And I agree about scenery, I don't even notice anything but the ground and people in front of me when I'm racing.
No races for me this week but another GREAT week of training. There's a XC race tomorrow but I've raced three weekends in a row and I'll go ahead and take this weekend 'off' from racing.
I have 53 miles in the log so far and I'll probably do a nice, friendly 18miler tomorrow morning. Did a 12 X 0.25mile hilly interval workout on Wednesday and this morning a 4 X 0.66 mile hilly interval workout with my club. "Feeling good, Louis"!!
