Does he have a coach at this point? I mean - can we really expect anything?
He will run a perfectly acceptable 1:48, which will inspire a three-page thread of ridicule.
Bingo! Likely some fine tuning to test his strength and speed for what's ahead in June. Anyone know if he's running at Pre?
1:47.13 - 5th place, but within a second of the winner.
1:43
Has Julia confirmed this?

He ran 1:47 in HS.
So did Jim Ryun.
I ran 1:47 in HS, then I ran the extra :18 to make it to the finish.
I am unable to find this years Webb Site.
Is it up and if it is would you post a link.
all I get is past meet results.
thanks
Thank you
I doubt Webb will threaten the meet record of 1:45.21
Wonder what the prize$ looks like.
Guessing $US-2000-1000-750-500-250-
Webb appearance check of 3 grand plus 4 flight tickets car and driver while there and a couple of days at a hotel with food per diem.

Let me start by saying I am a big Alan Webb fan and am rooting for him to get back to his old self. That said, 1:48 is not an acceptable time. That would be pretty bad. 1:46 is acceptable. Unless you want Alan to be a middling 1500 runner for us, then 1:48 is fine.
Even when Webb was in 3:32 shape he routintely ran 1:46/1:47. His 1:43 is a complete outlier.
POD - made me laugh here.
