Well I asked for major issues, and she delivered.

This is better than a soap opera.
Great blog
Her name is Danielle Jelley?
This is her?
http://www.facebook.com/people/Danielle-Jelley/1292530839
The school is BC? Did she graduate? What did she do after college? Whats her age? Is she not running at all now?
I want to know more about the author
Well, if the cognoscenti are right, she is getting married on Saturday so don't expect a lot of activity on the blog coming up.

I guess it's honeymoon time.
Her dad was right- she's a hopeless heel-striker with no future.

The foot dorsiflexes throughout the stride as the foot comes down to make contact. It's in the process of snapping down, under her center of gravity, and should be parallel to the ground when she plants her foot. It's tough to identify heel striking before the foot actually hits, because the foot is snapping down right up until it actually makes contact with the ground.
That's how life is. I think her writing is awesome. Think about it. When something happens in your life, like an accident, losing money, losing a person/relationship, you become more sensitive to smaller things thereafter.
Have a great month - see you when you're back. :)

Yeah, I get that. As I said later in that post, its partially an issue with the posting-small-pieces-at-a-time method of publishing.
Do you really think Danielle Jelley is the writer? The "About Danielle" section on FB is terribly written: "dont just walk to the liqour shop, buy alcohol, champagne, and den later on drink it, and get high. if you need more information, think about it. this is one of the thing that make your life go hard"

I was thinking the same thing.
yeah, it's poorly written.
But, I'm pretty sure it is meant as a joke. it looks like something written by a person who is drunk or stoned or fried from too much substance use.
Or, maybe something a student wrote on a paper (before failing out of school).
??
C'mon S*W*O*A*R! Our attention spans are not long enough to wait an entire month to see what happens to this poor girl. We want an update.

Any day now!
bump, still no update
The author was kind enough to do a short interview with me that can be found at the following link:
http://trainingonempty.blogspot.com/2011/08/interview-with-author-of-she-was-once.html
Thanks Lize for doing the interview with the author of the "She was once a runner" blog. I am looking forward to reading more of her blog, as well as reading your book when it comes out. With the amount of eating disorders out there and the number of college coaches that don't seem to care or even encourage it, what the two of you are doing is very helpful. I have a young daughter that is getting into running and I certainly don't want her to have any eating issues, so it is nice to know what kind of signs to watch for.
If it's a true story, why does she need readers to email her ideas?

Did you even read the interview? This is what was said before she asked readers to email her ideas:
"The experience helped me realize that not only does this story need to be told, it needs to be told in a different format. I feel that posting entries on the blog breaks up the fluidity of the plot, which doesn't do the story justice. I am currently trying to figure out where I should go next with She Was Once a Runner . (Feel free to email me ideas, readers!)"
See where she says the story needs to be told in a different format and that posting entries on the blog breaks up the fluidity of the plot. She already knows the story since it is true, but she wants readers to help her figure out a better way to get the story out.
