Hasay continues to improve and continues to impress. Despite getting bumped around a bit and running most of the race in lane 2, she finishes in a nice 3+ second PR, 4:10.28.

Nice race by Jordan. Her future, however, is with the 5K and even the 10K.

Isn't this a leading time for D1 right now? Faster than the time that Sheila Reed just put up.

If Wallace goes in the 1500 instead of the 800 at the NCAA's she could be a real factor, esp. if it becomes a kicker's race.

WHOA that's an improvement!! never heard of her but hopefully a sign of further progress
Great! At her current rate of improvement, she should be close to 4;00 by 2021.

Hasay is just such a solid runner. Her future is definitely in the 5,000 and 10,000, but she is definitely improving as much as she can in the shorter races before moving up. Compared to GF's freshman year she didn't burst out and set a bunch of records or win NCAA's but over the long run she is progressing very nicely.
Hey all you a-holes , for Vinnie its about scoring points , he could give a rats ass about how Jordan develops. She will continue to run two events to score points , plain and simple.
She's dopin'.
The NCAA National Outdoor 1500 will be an awesome race with Hasay, Reid, and Infeld. Wow........get your tickets now! Wonder if Jordan will double?

This was not an NCAA meet. In meets like this Vin should encourage her to race a 10k to "see what it's like". As in, "Jordan, the pros are not like high school where you can win at any distance you like"

If you listened to her Flotrack interview after the race, you can see she wasn't overly impressed with her time. I had the feeling she would have been more interested in winning. I like her attitude.
Good time for 19 year old
After stalling a bit a couple of years ago, she's over the hardest transition phase and back on track (steadily impoving over the last 2 seasons) to do big things
She might have been 4'10 in high school, but she is well over 4'11 now.
just like wheating and rupp and centro and acosta and blood did not develop over the years right? They are all burned out...

yes, this is fantastic. She's 19, and just went 4:10. Her season isn't over, and if she peaks correcty we could see her drop a few more seconds which would be huge at that age. Perhaps her future is in the 5k or 10k, but she's doing things in the 1500 that very few have done at her age in the US, so who knows if she can stay healthy what she will do.
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Matt Choi was drinking beer halfway through the Boston Marathon
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
