This is getting ridiculous!
1. For a marathon run through a major city, running on public roads (rather than running through backyards), the course is remarkably straight.
2. To gain advantage from the wind, it need not be blowing perfectly at one's back the entire race. The point is that it is mostly at one's back. Why, why, why is this hard to understand????
We have the obvious advantage of the wind, we have the remarkable times, what more do you need?
Stop this now. Boston 2011 had the perfect conditions to yield an eye popping time. Yes, it took good athletes to do that. Are people thinking that only if sub-elite runners broke the world record then there would be proof of wind aid?! Ughhhh!
