Lets say you're fairly new to running, physiologically you have potential in the sport, and you find you really love the competitive part of running. But you discovered this after college so no chance of having a college/hs coach anymore. You continue to run well regionally but find a gap between you and the next runner (who's obviously at the next level), you always find yourself lets say 2nd/3rd place and not able to close that gap. So either you slow down and compete with those not as fast or figure out the best way to train to be competitive with the top. Is that worth getting a coach for.....and how much money would ppl spend on a quality coach if you're not guaranteed anything......?
