Michael, could I get a copy also. Thanks!
Sent....This guy is the #3 ranked Male T&F athlete in the world. Is anybody going to talk bout his training? What are your thoughts on this runner? It would be interesting to see what he can do in the 5k this season, what are your thoughts? I think he'll go mid 12:40's but not sure if he'll improve too much, maybe...I'm thinking El G and Bekele can take him but he can beat Chebii and Eliud
Michael, didn't get it, instead I got the above message you posted, but no attachment.
I sent the email again
all set, no prob. What do you guys think of this training?

He seems to have a very high quality training approach. Typically 3 hard sessions a week. Although it doesn't look like any of them are brutally hard for him. Its seems the emphasis is on steady quality throughout all the phases of training. There is lots of hill work done, including the hill sprints. It looks like the rest day is there to make sure he is really recovering from the training so he can absorb it all.
Cherono's training doesn't seem to have any magic ingredients. It looks like steady work, with lots of quality throughout and a strong emphasis on pure speed and economy work.
One thing I am curious about though is the pace of his easy runs and steady runs. I gonna guess that they are not fast, and are truly easy so that he can really get the quality in properly. Some of the paces listed for the build up runs were 3:40/K to start, which is 18:20 5k pace, which would be nothing for Cherono and these are buildup sessions. I think his easy runs and steady runs would be slower.
One last question. Does Cherono have any training partners?
I am very interested in the hill sprints and stuff that they do. I think that I\'m going to try to integrate that into my training.
Could you send me a copy of the stuff as well, Mr. Michael Bautista?
The training is pretty hard. Lots of intervals, hills, and fartlek. Not as much tempo runs and no long runs. I wonder what type of pace he does. Wow...I remember some fast elite guy said something like "How can you be fast if you take 52 days off a year(one day a week)". Well, you can be fast, look at Cherono, was it Seb Coe who said this? Cherono I'm not sure if he has training partners but check out the thread called "some more information about kenyan athletes" and see if you can find info. Renato Canova trains him or did when he wrote it.

Micheal,
You contribute a lot to this board and don't let anyone tell you anything different. Now, after brown-nosing, could you send those files my way, too? Thanks in advance.
