I think he will continue to improve. Barely started racing and has won the 3000 this weekend and ?3:56 anchor leg on the DMR.

I agree. In fact, I hope he becomes a world-beater, because I was the first person to mention his name on this site.
boaz lalangs brother.
His time in the DMR was 3:57, which converts to a 4:00 mile. He is very good, but it is a bit early to make such predictions. Can he beat Centrowitz? Can he beat German Fernandez? Can he beat A.J. Acosta?
I know that it is early and nothing he has done so far says that he can do it. However, he is improving quickly and his brother is Boaz Lalang, so my prediction is that he continue to improve enough to win NCAA's.
it says on the arizona website he came to the university of arizona with no competitive running experience whatsoever, good thing the arizona coach accepts walk ons. i always wonder how many late bloomers like gharib, mark kiptoo, elijah lagat are never discovered because the aspiring runner was not given a chance.
nice call, lalang is a boss
Yeah, seems like a pretty good prediction now. Although not true yet.

I seriously doubt this guy showed up in Li's office and Li said, "Sure, what the hell, I don't know you from Adam but I'm guessing you can run 13:30 in six months." If Joe Blow from Wikieup, AZ walks into Li's office and says, "I have never run before, but I'd like to try, there's no way he's getting the chance."

Let's try that again with the quotation marks in the right place:

Prediction looking good. We'll see if he can hold this form until nationals.
Time to pat myself on the back.
Gratz bro
nice prediction. didn't li or lalang mention in an interview that li saw lalang in a race in kenya and that lalang knew that it was a test for him to see whether li would give him a scholarship? so, lalang wasn't just showing up.
