I chose crossfit over college and I turned out amazingly fit.
I sneer at UoP with the disdain I usually reserve for cold boogers. As another poster said, graduating from a top school adds a pedigree to your CV that takes 4 years to create and demands the demonstration of a certain amount of intellectual rigour that UoP does not require. I would never knowingly hire a UoP graduate over a Harvard graduate ever. I think this would be the opinion of most hiring managers.
I got by BA from U of Phoenix and I am now a 3rd year med student at Duke. But I am probably the exception to the rule.
I think companies are starting to use these boards for covert advertising. Lame. Feel the breeze in your hair; Drink a Red Stripe!
I am not advertising. I prefer PBR though.
one easy way to tell is ask the question :
how many Olympic T&F, IAAF Outdoor WC, and Top/Major Marathon medals have their student-athletes and alum won in the past 10 years ?
One notable athlete actually, Tim Culpepper, 3th place in the 1999 Pan-American Games 10,000m.

i don't see Pan-american games on his list
PMG are not a major.
I have been admitted to Northeastern University (Boston) for an Ed.D. (doctorate in Education). This is mostly an online course, with mandatory summer attendance, but it is a 'real bricks and mortar' University. Northeastern is not Ivy League, but I don't think it is 'diploma mill' either.
How would my future degree (Doctorate in Education) compare with University of Phoenix?
sensei
Well, it wouldn't really compare at all. UOPX is on the up-rise and frankly, more people should apply there. Besides, you'll save money.

Oops, submitted before finishing that sentence. It was supposed to read "The horror on those in attendance at the session was inexplicable."
I find it ironic that you are criticizing the standards of UoP yet you don't seem to know the meaning of the word "inexplicable".

I'm also a graduate of UOP and a 4.0 at UOP is equiv to a 4.0 at any university. I was accepted to Harvard and Yale for my MBA, but decided to go with University of Phoenix. I'm now bringing home 85k per year. Plus I get to show off my U of P degree at work (corner office)

Well, 85K--to me--is A LOT of money! I'm a high school teacher & I'll TOP OUT at 60K...after 30 years! Sigh. Oh, I have a Master's Degree too. Double sigh.

My handle has never been more apt. There is no way you were accepted at Yale and Harvard, and chose UoP. You are a shill.
Hey, I no that some of you are skeptical, but I too am an alum of the University of Fenix and am now a successful professional. I make $300K per year and am the CEO of a major corporation.
See? There are many success stories!
Warren Berger went to a evening law school and became chief justice of the Supreme Court. Sure, he was a disgusting right wing Nazi, but he made it to the top of the Kangaroo Court, so what's wrong with a degree from the Univ of Penis ? John Hennesey got his PhD at SUNY SB, and is now the President of Stanford U. Charles Wang went to SUNY SB and had the largest SW company in the world in the 1990s. What about Syrian-American Steve Jobs ? He didn't go to college at all, his highest degree is a HS Diploma from Homestead High School, Cupertino, California.
