I decided today that I'm going to make a long time plan to break into Area51, undetected, and gain information on top secrets. Any tips for me?

I'm told the getting in part is a lot easier than the getting out part.
For the record I have never even given a thought to doing this.
Won't be hearing from you again I presume...
Area 51 isn't the place to break into anymore. In fact, one might say Area 51/Groom Lake is SOOOOO 90's. The new hot spot is in Utah at the Dugway Proving Grounds/Utah Test & Training Range, it's an abandoned or not so abandoned missle base(Green River). It's right there off HWY 199/ Stark Road. Why don't you just mosey on up and ask to have a look around, after all it's supposed to be de-commissioned.
Had a team mate in college who tried it. He studied his ass off about the base and made his attempt at night. He tripped a survailance camera and was surrounded by 20+ military guys within a minute. Oh by the way... he wasn't even within 100 yards of the fence! He didn't even come close. This was in '98 and he made his attempt crossing some remote mountain / hill out in the middle of no where (no roads) to get in.
He thought it was funny, but I doubt his perminent record of being a suspected terrorist/anti American is too funny post 9/11.
We already now you're coming. We knew before you posted on this forum, while you were still typing. We are waiting for you.

Reminds me of the Anesthesiologists Creed: "Putting you to sleep is free, waking you back up will cost you..."
you need to get GTA san andreas on ps2 and steal the jetpack yo!
You can get in but they do survey 150 miles outside of the base and the entire base in underground. Trucks are constantly going thru the underground tunnel. Nothing is above ground.
I work as a wildland firefighter and have been to Area 51 to fight a fire. Security is ridiculous. We weren't supposed to dig in the earth; the entire fire was instead lined with aerial retardant (which never occurs, it is too expensive). We basically watched it. We were searched when we left, and scanned with a Geiger counter. Good luck.

Make sure you don't get caught.
I've been in Nevada the last year, and I've heard helicopters immediately show up if you cross the boundary for Area 51.
Also, that part of Nevada is just a boring old desert. Worked a few dozen miles away for about a week. There's nothing too exciting out there.
I bet $10 on the guy being shot. Any takers?

Double-or-nothing... he's getting an anal probe too!
That might be a less trying end to the episode than participating in a well crafted interogation.
I did some EPA Superfund research in the 80's and recall that UXO's were an issue there - watch where you step!
