Because there are several Daniel Komens and race directors don't always use the full name, which was the case at Pre. |

Isn't Mark Wetmore his coach/manager?
I believe Mark Wetmore works as Komen's agent when he's not busy coaching the Buffs. Not sure why this confusion has ensued, I'm pretty sure that everyone was clear that Komen has, at times, run under "Daniel Komen" (like when he ran 7:20) and under "Daniel Kipchirchir Komen" (like when he ran 3:29 a few years later). Sometimes I use my middle name, sometimes I don't. You guys sound like the conspiracy theorists who were trying to say two Robert "Kipwhatever" Cheruiyots won the Boston Marathon. Let's stop being ridiculous. |

do you mean 3:29.46 or 3:29.02? |
| well yeah... |

Actually, whenever a Kenyan can't get a visa to a European Nation or the US, he uses the US green card the original Daniel Komen got when he first came to the US. The real Daniel Komen came to the US in 1957 as a 29 year-old. The "Daniel Komen" that ran the 7:20.67 3000 was a different person then the "Daniel Komen" that ran 2 Miles in 7:58.61. The "Daniel Komens" that have been racing the last several years are actually 8 different people. I hope this clears things up. |

No World XC. Rupp is doing an indoor season and then a distinct outdoor season: http://www.letsrun.com/2011/alberto-galen-0111.php |

He ran very well against Farah (who is also still improving) in Edinburgh. Rupp always looks relaxed when he runs which is a great quality to have at speed He will run well here and if keeps clear of injury looks like he is ready to step up another level this year |

Colorado coach Mark Wetmore and agent Mark Wetmore are two different people. Seriously.

World XC is not Rupp certified
The "rupp certified" joke was perhaps funny the first 3000 times, but not anymore. |
