I have searched the archives and found all the information available about a popliteal strain/tear but how long did this take to heal? I strained mine in the beginning of November, have been in PT, have had an MRI, cortisone shot and taken several periods of time off from running. Each time I have rested until I had no pain walking around or going up and down stairs only to have the pain return as soon as I resumed running.
Anyone been through this? How long did it take to heal? How did you gauge that it had healed and you could return to running? Any suggestions for encouraging healing?
