What's sad is that there are people who still seriously believe he's innocent, even after the SOKLR site was put up with ogles of evidence and DQ's.
Saying that you went off the course in one race is fishy enough, but over and over again and with over a dozen other suspicious races...how can one not believe?
How does he explain walking on the side of the road in Boston yet his splits show a mile pace that is not possible with the Gipper? And, why was he walking (of course we all know that).
A grey t-shirt with no sweat? He's not that smart and should have worn a white one at the very least but he screwed up again which is why I say that he's NOT THAT SMART.
Technically he did too many things that are unexplainable and defy normal logic. If pressed, he could not answer the questions. Saying a course was poorly marked is BS when 99% of the other runners had no problem. He's a dentist for God's sake, he can't claim ignorance over and over.
You make perfect sense and it's all true, but it has already been said over 4000 times!
Trolls are trolls, they have no logic and make no sense, that's why they are trolls. It destroys them if you don't respond and they eventually go away and sometimes come back sounding even dumber. Wait of it.

We're you involved with Kip's Vermont City Marathon performance?
Yes. Try following this thread, putz.
Yeah. I posted on page1 of this thread. So no offense but Why didn't you guys at vermont DQ Kip again? At your race Kip had a 6min chip gun difference and went through 10miles in 62 mins? Kip made a circus out of your race? Charlotte, providence, and St Louis same thing...
With the wall of people at the start after taking 6mins to get going even a Ryan Hall or a Dathan Ritzenhein would have trouble going through first 10miles in 62!
And by the way if you let Kip back into your race for him to prove himself that he's capable, if Kip doesn't do it, he could use the excuse that he is now into his 50s Years old so he can't do it now but could've done it 3years ago

Read through the thread, bro. It has been discussed several times in the 4000+ posts. Try and keep up and stop asking questions that have already been answered.

I thought you guys were suspicious of him but didn't have enough evidence for the DQ? No proof?

I didn't post under the screen name "insensitive", I always post with this screen name and with the email (well, 99% of the time anyway).
I have posted in numerous places (including this thread and SOKLR) why we didn't DQ Kip at VCM, have gone into good detail, have tried to be transparent about our process. Short story, although there are facts about his race that I think are suspicious, his splits were not totally implausible. Of course, they may have been implausible FOR HIM, but it would not be unreasonable for someone to legitimately run the splits he did at VCM 2010.
The other main reason for not DQ'ing him was the configuration of our course, combined with my personal knowledge (have been associated with this race since 1989, year 1) of how hard it is to get around Burlington during the race. When his chip registered at mile 13.1, and when it registered at mile 20, would have been difficult to do without actually running the course between those points. That shouldn't be taken to mean that we are confident that he didn't somehow beat the system or cut the course somewhere else.
FWIW, his chip/gun differential at this race was not "6 minutes", it was 4:34. Yeah yeah yeah, that's still forever to cross the start line but I've tried to be factually correct through this thread so there you go.
And he was 63:21 at 10 miles, not "62 mins". I am told by our timing contractor that the split times he publishes are chip times, so Kip actualy would have rolled through the 10 mile mat 67:55 into the race. 62 min or 63:21 or 67:55 that is still a lot of runners to pass! This is one of the things that has puzzled me from Day 1 with this guy because as you point out it seems like it would be darn hard to get through the "wall of people" after the start. Not unheard of however, as every year I see relay teams that tag in at the 5k point with a much better 2nd leg runner than 1st leg runner who pass hundreds of runners on the 2nd leg. It's crowded, and it's annoying to have to race that way, but we do have runners who get through a ton of other racers. But yes, that 10 mile split doesn't seem overly believable. Knowing what we know about Kip's use of "shirt over number" race attire it's possible he started 4:34 after the gun, ran to somewhere around the 2 mile mark, then walked down to the 10 mile mat and started up again.
FWIW, since 2010 we have added chip mats, both known to entrants (published) and unknown to entrants (unpublished) to try to catch this sort of thing. Prior to 2011 we relied on our Course Monitors in some areas but now our course is much more secure in this regard.
Yes, Mr. Kip does start well after the gun.I ran the 5/23/2009 Bayshore marathon, I started 27 seconds from start mat and finished 2:53:18,somehow Kip started 2:42 from gun. The next person with 2+ mins difference finished 171st, Kip finished 21st and I was 22nd. Kip finished 20 seconds ahead of me. Obviously I would not see him in front of me since he "started" so late. I am in his same age group 45-59 during the race and he did cheat me out of a place, which does not matter to me, however, I know I ran the true course and time.
You really get around don't you? Spammers can't hide...

At least Kip seems to be a nice person, if at least one of those character witnesses was not fake.
Of a well-documented bully and all around egoistics soab, millions of people get upset when he's accused of wrongdoing, under oath even, by people who started their accusation with an equal admission of their own.
Not so hard to see that Kip will have believers, and there is an unfair witch hunt using the unreliable timing gates and intermittent roadride photographer coverage against him. Just because they're jealous of his awesome work for charity. As if being involved in some form of charity makes you a saint. Then there really would be too many saints to ever name even a single street around the world after, let alone church. Yet, you elect to number a large share of your streets. Even churches :-)
Is $20 awesome charity work
When you troll you really shouldn't waste that much time as most realized your stupidity after the first sentence. He cheated, accept it or look stupid. Funny how he shows up in front of people that he started behind and never passed. Is he a super hero with unique powers?

How many aliases is that now ?
I wonder if Kip was inspired as a kid by watching this guy's hoax exactly 40 years ago at the 1972 Olympic Marathon: http://tinyurl.com/9o26ypm
Ok. I read the New Yorker article on the dentist that supposedly cheated on many of his races. As I read it, I found myself not questioning the dentist nearly as much as I questioned the author of the story and The New Yorker itself for spending so much time and energy on such an inane story.
Seriously, the outcry is much more absurd than what this dentist allegedly did.
He didn't steal money nor break laws, but you guys act like he should get the electric chair. Stupid TRULY is as stupid does, particularly in this case.
PS
If the guy is an attention whore, you all are his wet dream. Did you ever stop to think that HE may be the one laughing at you???
Please take my sound advice and get a life. There are wayyyyyy more important things to spend your time on than a dentist cheating at an amateur running event.
You sound like third graders. No, third graders would have let it go by now.

Change the record, people such as you (possibly just you) have been saying this since page 1 of the thread, do you seriously imagine anyone is going to pay the slightest attention?

Do you have evidence that he accepted the money. My take was that he always left before any awards ceremony.
