Agree, I've talked to the author and it is going to portray kip in a sympathetic and somewhat positive light. If anything, those who have smeared him on this thread will be made out to be the bad guy.

Like back to square one mentioned, Singer just needed to ask the right questions.
Bottom line, he didn't.
The average hobby jogger who reads the article WILL have reasonable doubt, and that's all the good doc needed.
He's back in the game.
The doctor is a cheater

I bet that initially the writer was going to write a story on Kip's serial cheating. Then after doing a little digging saw that there were a bunch of wackos physically and cyber stalking him. He then decided that this was a better story than the cheating angle.
The Kipster is a nut bag, a cheat and a punch line in his home town.
However I doubt if there will ever be an article.

There is an article. OH YES.... There is an article. Nothing has changed. The article is coming.

STOP FEEDING THE TROLL!!!!!!!!!
Don't listen to this troll. He comes on every couple of weeks and says "the article is coming soon."
At least that has been his m.o for the last year.
sorry that it's been a long time. We know it has. But an article is still coming. That does NOT change.
There is a lot to read in these, but I will point out some interesting highlights from Singer's emails with Litton.
-He won a state title in tennis in high school
-He dropped 50 pounds in his first year running
-He BQ'd in his first marathon in 2003
-He DOES have a son with Cystic Fibrosis who has been hospitalized over 100 times
-His car/home was vandalized after rumors popped up online
-He has 4-5 witnesses for Missoula & Gasparilla marathons
-His goal was 2:47 for Boston 2012, until he DQ due to injury
-Ran the course in Wyoming. His IT guy added fake names
-He was the winner of the 2003 Detroit Marathon in 2:11 (a prank)
-Boston 2010 was deemed legit after more photos surfaced
-No evidence of fund raising fraud
-His training partner confirmed his finish times were in his range
Note: these are not my words- these are from the emails. This is the kind of crap that Singer is talking to Litton about. There is no reason for him to put this fluff in the article!! He needs to stick to things that will nail Litton to the wall! Get more info on these other races that he didn't even ask about like Phoenix!! If anyone talks to Singer tell him to ask the right questions and stick to the DIRT- thats all anybody cares about!!
There's much more. Emails are still coming in. I'll post more later
Exactly what I said earlier.
Calling BS on 1,3,5,6,7,8,9,10,11 and 12. Who is Kip's training partner? I live very close to his hometown. I know all of the sub 3 hour marathon runners in the area. They ALL think Kip is a joke.
Sorry scotth. Looks like you plan failed. Now quit trying to get people to contact this writer.
So his IT guy (Ben Millefoglie according to website META tags maybe?) made up the West Wyoming Marathon and then it got listed to marathonguide.com? Is that what the KL camp is saying?
My understanding is Singer has a lot of dirt on the guy
Singer's got NOTHING.
He didn't ask the right questions. Played right into Kip's hands. Kip comes out smelling like a rose and Letsrun looks foolish for this thread.
Kip is scum. There will never be an article... other than this one that is http://www.writingaboutrunning.com/2011/01/outing-of-kip-litton.html

The right questions? Every question I posed was a 'right question' and I'm confident every question Mark posed was also a 'right question'. It was the answers that weren't right - lies & denial on a consistent basis - the consistency somewhat unnerving & sad. It was Dr Litton's responses to questions posed by a MI/USATF official about his cheating @ the '09 Detroit Free Press Relay that first caught my eye and drew me into what has turned out to be a sad tale of deceit and an elusive grasp of the truth by Kip. I wasn't looking for a story line when I corresponded w/him nearly 3 years ago and, as time went on and the cheating escalated, I did all I could to put off writing about him. I've called out 4 other cheats and derived no pleasure in doing so - plus kept their names out of publication. In another high profile instance, I heard evidence and decided to DQ a runner - not a pleasant experience - but necessary. I tell you these things to point out I've dealt w/cheats before Kip. The only pleasure I'll take from the ensuing story is he'll pay for ignoring my attempts to get him to stop cheating on his own.
The whole point is, from the emails and responses I've seen, Kip presents some very plausible explanations for a number of DQ's and casts doubt on quite a few of your other allegations, like his creating fictional runners for the West Wyoming marathon.
If someone were to read his responses and then begin to read this thread, they'd never make it more then 10 pages before deciding this was a whole lot to do about nothing, and has more to do with the obsessive nature of a few internet board posters than any real "justice."
Also, again from Kip's responses, there will be no article because there isn't any story.
He certainly doesn't "come clean" and describe any master subterfuge to trick the BAA officials and "crack" the Boston course.
He certainly doesn't reveal any master plan to cheat in 30 marathons in 30 states.
And he certainly seems much more sane than many of the posters on this thread.
