So it's been a whole year of kip Litton wow....So the last time kip raced was Dec 2010. Is that because of the knee injury or because kip is busy at the hospital? I'm confused - also, where did Dan Baxley go? He stopped defending his buddy after the first thread and havent seen him since |

He cancelled out at Zoom Yah Yah at the last minute. As another poster commented, they saw him at a hospital with his ill child. However, he may have a leg/knee injury that is of such an extent his racing days are finished. The registrations at events may be just a ruse. |

Are there any pics of him at the hospital? He's a celebrity we need the proof if at all possible |

You guys do know that Kip did not register for Zoom Yah, right? Someone else sent in his entry. Same for Cowtown last year and same for Boston this year. Someone else is registering him, posts on this thread that he is registered, and then gets every one stirred up for a couple of weeks. My guess is that it's the same person that keeps saying that the article is coming "soon" (but I can't name the magazine or writer for some reason). You are all being had. |

Kip Litton had to pay for the Zoom Yah Yah registration by personal check to the race director. I find it hard to believe someone else would be spending a lot of money on fake registrations for marathons around the country in his name. My conclusion is that Kip's racing days are over and he will be a no show at Boston in April. |

My guess is he'll be at Boston, just not racing as Kip Litton. He won't stop until he achieves his goal-- Cheating his way to 30 sub 3 hour marathons. |

Here's the thing. Kip was never even registered for Zoom Yah Yah. You all seem to be forgetting he was 5th on the alternate list. So he never even was supposed to run. |

What would be the point if he ran under a pseudonym? |

What would be the point if he ran under a pseudonym?[/quote] Initially, I suspect Kip wanted some form of running pseudo-celebrity; remember the initial article about his weight loss and running Boston, not to mention the website and charity debacle, all of which speak to a desire for publicity. I really think Kip though he could carve out a niche as a second rate, master's Dean K. Not so much as a career, just as an ego boost and because he liked traveling to races, getting a little special treatment. At some point, at which point would be pure speculation, this quest became pathological. |

The guy doesn't exist. Best troll post ever. |

No. No. No. There is an article coming out in a major magazine with a subscription >1 million. Haven't you been paying attention? Patience grasshopper. |

No he didn't. Contact Dick and you'll find out his name was not on the check.
Hmmmm. I don't know. Perhaps someone who would post something like this: "This time a year ago, I was pushed over the edge by Kip's serial cheating and put together a plan to deal w/him."
Of course, he will be a no show at Boston. He didn't register for it and has never had any intention to run it. |

Who the hell would pay 300 buckaroos for a character named Kip Litton to appear on the Boston 2012 entrants list? |

I just received some exciting news. My brother-in-law, a noted documentary filmmaker, took a look at this thread, loved it, and is intrigued with the idea of a documentary. The angle is not just about Kip but also the Let'sRunners who have participated on this thread and have kept this story going for over a year now. A mystery, and a psychological portrait, intercut with the cast of "colorful" characters of this site. Imagine a cut to Flagpole, who ignores a question about Kip entirely and rants on about increasing consumer debt. Lots of drunk D3 girls is a given. |

Good idea, but I don't think many of us want to reveal our identities for fear of being named as defendants in a Litton family defamation of character claim |

We've got a few candidates. Perhaps someone deranged enough to create a website devoted to Kip or maybe someone who would post something like this: "This time a year ago, I was pushed over the edge by Kip's serial cheating and put together a plan to deal w/him." And Boston is not $300. Zoom Yah is a perfect marathon to register Kip for. Register late and you just get put on the wait list. The check is never cashed, so the person is never out any money but still gets everyone stirred up about Kip doing another marathon. BTW, I heard he's registered for Callaway Gardens Marathon at the end of January. Check it out. |

How would you have happened to have heard of this supposed registration at Callaway Gardens marathon considering that the race is very low key and the entrants list is not posted online? |
