Be younger than 28.
If you're coherent at the end of the night, take down at least 32oz of gatorade or some other gatorade-like drink before you pass out. If you can't manage that, best bet is to just wake up and keep drinking while watching college football.
Don't get wasted.

Gay.
Best way to cure a hangover is drink a beer really slow in the morning, I'm talking 30-45 minutes for the beer. Won't taste good but it will do the job.

this
a quick dip in the Irish Sea, like no other
Depends on how the hangover is manifesting:
--if your stomach is OK ie not nauseated, you just have the pounding headache and feel like you havent slept in 3 wks then go for a couple Big Macs, extra fries, and a huge Coke. ask for extra grease. couple of those nasty apples pies if you still have room.
--if you are having waves of nausea and can't or won't eat solids try the Red Eye: take a blender and toss in a jigger of whiskey, couple cups fresh black coffee, OJ, Tabasco sauce, black pepper, and a large egg. Pound it down and ignore the taste.
My Mexican friends swear by menudo, and if anyone knows anything about recovering from hangovers, it's Mexicans.
Weed. I can't believe more people don't know this, but one hit will instantly cure a hangover; it's truly amazing. For this reason alone it should be legal.

I second the grease. For me, it comes in the form of a ham, egg, and cheese sandwich.
1. Onion and butter sandwich
2. Red Beer - Beer and tomato juice.
gatorade, water, eggs, toast, bacon, ibuprofen, sleep
Surprised nobody has said it:
Go for a run. Hammer if you can.
Then eat a ton of food.
If that doesn't work for me, I'm seriously hosed.
It really sucks getting out the door, and probably for 3 miles. But then it gets better.

I'll second that..and some grass. We all know it's a major fight to get out the door but running will tire you out and at least relax you some...may even help you heave up some of that trash in your stomach.

haha, did exactly this today! except the hammering part. getting out the door was sooooo fkn difficult, but then got really easy once I thought about my racin goals.
then of course eating a huge burrito with a couple of beers, ice cream, and cookies. Yea, hangover is gone.
20-25 minutes run. Some guy said hammer it - I just stumble through it. Also, butter & jelly on toast with gatorade.
Some coffee and beignets, maybe some advil before bed.
Smoke a J and drink a bunch of fluids with electrolytes.
