On a 1-10, I'd say 4 or 5, but they might not put too much on his plate.

The ravens D will have a tough time with him. Starting him was a good decision.
4. He won't be awful, but he won't really be good either.
Man, I don't know but feel it would do good things for the NFL and Denver if he played well.
Will be interesting to see.

Considering Orton has sore ribs, hasn't practiced all week, and the Broncos aren't playing the Ravens, your assessment is correct. Having said that, Tebow will not prove to be the second coming of John Elway.
Can we use SAT scales here to predict?
On a scale of 1-10 I'll go with a 3. I think he throws 2 INT's and passes for under 200 yards.
only if you use Tebow's score from his freshman year of high school - the one that was made public.
Just ran for a td and threw a bomb for a touchdown. haha, looks like he is tearing shit up.
Haters can choke on a fat one now.

I would say your numbers were a bit low for how he played but the coaching staff didn't put much on his plate.
Hopefully this will shut up most of the clowns on the board who don't know much about football.
2 touchdowns, about 140 yards and almost 80 yards rushing. No INT's. Hardnose football. He was 8 for 16 but had 1 touchdown pass that was right on the money that was dropped and 2 pass interference calls on dropped passes.
He can play and will do fine. A good backup for sure. He has the habit of floating the ball a bit, like Leinart would. His running will keep him in the league.
The Broncos coaching job suddenly looks much more appetizing then it did a week ago. Funny that the thread on thursday about his starting was full of homo remarks but they are quiet now.he may not be Elway, but even the vets were listening intently to him on the sidelines today.
I thought he would be an utter failure. cannot stand Tebow, but that is because he is a Gator (I am a Dawg).
He played better than I thought he would. Made some very good passes. I still think he takes a while to wind up. His TD run was amazing. Looked like he was running in slo-mo, but broke some tackles near the goal line.
Denver D (or lack thereof) was atrocious.
8 of 16 for 140 yards... about a 4.
Everyone knows that he has some running ability. Whether he can be an NFL quarterback will depend on whether he can throw accurately. This wasn't a bad start, but it hardly showed he can be a good starting quarterback.
already was discussed that he was 8 for 16 but could easily have been 11 for 16:
one pass was dropped for a touchdown that was right on the money.
2 more passes were not caught due to pass interference.
another 1 - 2 were passes that were catchable that were well defended.
all in all, not a great start but much better than most thought he would do. they didn't let him throw too much and his wind up to throw did seem a bit long.

I don't like Tebow but you rate him way too low. You conveniently forget to mention that he threw a touchdown and he didn't throw any interceptions, as a rookie QB that is goal one. I would give him a 7 or an 8.
And I hate Tebow, just saying.
QB rating of 158, and runs for 3 TDs as well.
How is he doing?
I'm with Flagpole and wonder why he is not a starter in the NFL. He has a better record at Denver than Manning does.
