Honestly or dishonestly? I'm wondering if it would have any effect. I'm fairly certain I could get away with it without even having to lie about my times. Anyway, does anyone have any good stories?

Maybe for another sport. My wife doesn't even care that I was an all american.
The answer for every All American ever, is yes.
You don't even have to be an AA, just tell the broad you're a varsity athlete and they go bonkers for your D.
Girls only want boyfriends who have great skills: like nunchuk skills, bow hunting skills, computer hacking skills...
"I'm American too"
What you nitwits don't realize is that nobody aside from you, your momma and some letsrun nerds, really care.
This is an American running site about running in America. If you can't understand that you need to stop reading.
Secondly, All-America is an award given out in NCAA sports. It's extremely prestigious especially at the D1 level. Why? Because it's exceptionally difficult to earn. Perhaps it's a little easier in running than some other sports but it's still requires you to be a bad ass.
It doesn't mean "hey I'm also an American" we're "all Americans."

lol at your face
I have never directly told a girl, but often times my friends have mentioned it to them when wing-maning me. Also, my trophy from NCAAs is on a shelf in my room so a few girls have inquired about it.
Based on my experience some girls find it cool and often times if the girl is a runner (recreational) it will lead to a good conversation which obviously helps to take them home. Other girls could care less. For instance my current girlfriend is more impressed that I was an Eagle Scout than All-American. At no point, though, have I ever been laid just because of being an All-American.

this
I imagine it would help if you're talking to a girl who is interested in running in any capacity or appreciates athletics or is just is interested in hooking up with athletics dudes. I don't think it can hurt though, but it might make you look kinda arrogant depending on how you bring it up
Obama tried that, but she caught him in a lie. He was born in Kenya!
I bet it's less fun to use it when you really are All-American since you're more likely to want to be subtle or modest about it. I think it would be much more entertaining to see how far you could get by lying about it. I think I might be a sociopath.
If it was true I would think it was sexy.
chick would be like "oh that's why you are skinny and unattractive."
Once at a restaurant I went up to a table with some gorgeous women. I started looking around and underneath the table and asked "excuse me, I'm looking for an Olympic gold medal that I left here. I would hate to lose it, its part of a set."

Ditto, my live-in gf could care less about mine.
It is "couldn't care less."
I think I counted 750 "could care less" responses.
Get it right or pay the price, Budnick!
I went to the library and told a girl that I was an Academic All-American. That did the trick!! ;-)
I always say I would have been national champ if I didn't have a career ending groin injury.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
