They're returning everyone, they would have won without one of their top three, and the golden boy seems to have finally figured out championship xc. Does anyone have any reasons to object?

Stanford is returning Chris Derrick and a few others as well.
They will be challenged by the Gators..... Next year is their year.... I can hear those words echoing in Gainesville right now...
In all seriousness... Oklahoma State = Dynasty = 3peat
Great coaching, great athletes and great commitment to distance runners.
Or FSU returning all by their #1
It will likely be a repeat of this year heading into the season. The OKState team will downplay their strenght, and Stanford, will the 2 new Rosa additions, will destroy everyone.
Then NCAA's will come and OKState will probably win again.

Stanford has choked so badly the past two years how can you even mention them?
true frosh don't usually go top 20, so the Rosas will be hard pressed to get Stanford past what will be a very powerful Oklahoma State squad.
Although Puskedra was an exception to that rule, and an extreme one at that, the Rosas are way more talented than HS level Puskedra was.

Not only top seven but 3 of 2009's top 10 at Footlocker.
McElroy(2nd), Erassa (8) and Moskowitzs (9)are returning. McElroy and Moskowitzs ran at this years regionals allowing Smith to rest Mecheso and Stublaski for NCAA'S. So they have experience at big time meets. OSU 2010 freshman class is unreal. OSU will get more top freshman this year. OSU is going to be at the top for awhile.
So no reason to object form this fan.

Rosas do good in Jersey but fall apart when facing California boys. Guess what, there will be California boys in every NCAA race.

Names please.
I agree with the thread, since removed for some unknown reason, that says this could well be the turn around point for German.

And you're an f'ing f'tard. He's never had anything to figure out. He ran great as a frosh and then got injured at nats. He's run great in HS in XC as well as at Jr's. His struggles last year had nothing to do with XC itself.

For names go to OSU web site, click men's cross-country and see how many sub 9:09 freshman they recruited this year. There is also a piece on Flotrack on OSU freshman class on their ajustment to college. Look up things for yourself and become informed.
Returning 22 out of 23, + recruiting + Dave Smith = Threepeat.
Providence College will challenge next year with David McCarthy (19th at NCAAs in 08) coming back, Lee Carey (24th this year) and apparently Ryan Sheridan is considering a transfer to Providence along with Dominic Channon(44th this year) and Irish recruit Shane Quinn (One of the best juniors (u20s) in Europe), that's a very strong top 5.

Seems like Smith is creating a Colorado Buffs late 90s/early-mid 2000s program in Oklahoma. Pretty sweet.

I was curious so I did go to their XC roster. Current true freshman:
Jeff Arnier - 9:09 - 3200 meters
Jacob Benn - 4:15/9:09/15:11 - 1600, 3200, 5000
Kevin Colon - 4:16/9:11/15:10 - 1600, 3200, 5000
Kirubel Erassa - 4:07/8:56/14:19 - mile, 3200, 5000
Eric Fitzpatrick - 9:10 - 2 mile
Matt McElroy - 4:14/8:56/14:28 - 1600, 3200, 5000
Shane Moskowitz - 4:08/8:59 - 1600, 3200
David Osborn - 9:16 - 3200
Neal Smith - 4:15/9:09/14:42 - 1600, 3200, 5000
That's a nice looking class. Not to mention OSU's #4 (29th overall) and #6 (66th overall) at nationals are redshirt freshmen, so they've got 3 more years of eligibility. The future does look bright.

As everyone has said, they look pretty unbeatable next year. Prentice was the only guy who didn't look like a good top 5 guy yesterday, and according to Dave Smith he was running with one shoe off for 9k of the race.

Might a lot of these guys transfer? I'm sure not all of them have full scholarships and could probably get them at other schools. Plus, they probably won't all get the chance to compete at nationals and regionals. How many schools in the country have sub 9 guys who are on the C team?
