I like to approach running much like a science experiment, keeping as many variables constant (sleep, diet, staple workouts) while improving the load/recovery cycle of training.
To the amusement of many non-runner friends, many of them are in utter disbelief when I share how I eat the same exact foods every day - breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner. I don't get bored of such a routine because for me food represents fuel, not a source of pleasure/enjoyment.
The concern, of course, is that I might not be optimizing my nutritional needs as someone who trains at a high level and competes fairly regularly.
Just curious how many of you out there are consistent with what you eat on a day-by-day basis and wouldn't mind sharing that program in detail.
