Have some issues with this interview.
#1 Never listen to someone who is trying to sell you something.
#2 Has this guy never heard of easing into something?
Most of his arguments are, in my view, negated by #2. All this getting injured stuff is pretty simple if you just take baby steps and work up to the level you want to be at. Anyone who just starts running barefoot and continues doing their regular workouts is going to get hurt.
At first I just jumped into my workouts when I had gotten my Vff's like 2 years ago. Almost broke my foot. But by taking it slow I have built up myself to a level where I can run at my best with minimal shoe. (I now train in the Biklias) Even "old" people can do this - my 50 year old dad made himself some huarraches and is doing better than ever.
Plus, that thing about pounding your red blood cells into oblivion sounds pretty ridiculous - show me some proof.
