Great:
"Ranked second in her graduating class, sporting a GPA of 5.0 and serving as class saludatorian"
I guess that means that, when a kid sneezed in Spanish class, Laura was the one who said "bless you."
Anyway, good run for her. Too bad her school's SID is so ign'ant.
3rd fastest ever at Griak and doesn't know any of the girls she beat!...here is the interview after the race...amazing!
"Dominating performance by Hoer stuns onlookers"
She is from Asheville, NC - T.C Roberson HS.
PR's of 4:58 (1600), 10:37 (3200), and 17:50 (5K) - unitl now of course. You will be hearing lots more from this wonderful young lady from the mountains of North Carolina.
did she ever go to footlocker
she ran NXN last year (came in 45th)
She ran Nike last year - finished 6th in the Southeast regionals and then 45th at Nike National. She was also the 4A (top division) state champion for NC in x country, and the 3200 champ and 1600 runner up in track.
What ever happened to Sarah Vance Goodman? She was from the same high school and had a great HS career and one year at Villanova. What happened? Thanks in advance.
If she wants to endorse a particular PED, I'll buy it! ;-)
Sarah VG went to Villanova and had some success, health struggles later.
Sara-Vance Goodman – 1996 Foot Locker Southeast Champion, 1996 Foot Locker Nationals 9th, 1998 NCAA D1 Cross Country All American (12th O.A., first freshman finisher), 1998 NCAA D1 Cross Country team champion (Villanova), 1999 NCAA D1 Indoor Track All American. 16:12 5000M P.R.

GPA 5.0??? Do the NC schools run their grading scale differently or is this the product of the gross grade inflation we see at schools these days?
AP classes: an A is 6 GPA points. So she probably didn't take that many AP classes till her junior/senior year
first 2 years 4.00, last 2 years close to 6.00. Averages out to a 5.00 or an A Average for all 4 years.
GPA doesn't matter as much as class rank in high school anyway.
Saw her win at Wolfpack Invite last week. 17:00 flat on hilly course. Won by 30 seconds.

If she was able to say it in Spanish she'd get an "A" for the class in North Carolina.
