Who do you think would make a good candidate to replace Logan ? Who would you like to see on the Board of Directors ?
What is your opinion of Stephanie Hightower and her job performance at USATF ?

tRg on the board, most definitely.
Hightower's personal agenda seems to be counter productive to what USATF should be trying to accomplish. When Tom Jordan mentioned Vin Lananna would be an excellent candidate, he was right. I doubt Vin would want that job, but someone like him would be perfect. And have a board of people doing positive things for the sport. Hell, I'd rather see Ryan from Flotrack or Ian from Runnerspace putting their 2 cents worth as they are at least out there at meets seeing what is going on.
Chad Ochocinco.
Others have mentioned Mary Wittenberg, although it seems like that would be a HUGE conflict of interest, as her ties to NYRR would influence future bids.
What about a guy like Don Kardong ?
Someone from the NYRR. They are the only people with the sophistication to run an operation like that.
Plus, they live and work in the epicenter of media and their connections can bring the sport to a new level.
Julia Emmons
I think Donald Trump would do a good job. His hair is awesome.
vin. he would actually be taking a demotion in my opinion from the oregon job.
i think vin is smart enough to know it would be tough to please that board. if i were him, i would demand they clean house there as well
I say Hightower. She pressed the issue. Let her succeed or fail. She's going to run things behind the scenes anyway.
Track in the US needs successful meets in the US to generate money to fund the sport.
No one has put on more successful meets in the last 10 years than Vin. He is the best promoter the sport has seen with the greatest energy and newest ideas.
Vin should be the no. 1 choice for CEO.
Michael Johnson
Pete Henkes.
I don't think that Vin would take the pay cut,nor would he want to leave his current situation.
Is the new CEO going to have any success as long as Hightower is still on the Board of Directors ?
What about guys like Edwin Moses and Dwight Stones ?

Gosh, no!! Ego galore.
Edwin Moses, same problem. Dwight Stones, nah.
Great athletes don't necessarily mean they are great CEO material.
Obama
Peter Ueberroth.
David Stern.
Both took struggling sports-related enterprises (olympics and nba, respectively), and turned them into monumental successes. Both know how to utilize current talent/personalities, media, etc. Both (I've heard) are TandF fans. Both grew up when TandF was more universal/well-known in the common household. Both in the twighlight of their careers and could be interested in leading a resurgence of TandF in the US as part of their legacy.
I have not heard a single person say anything could about Stephanie Hightower.
Mary Wittenberg would only take the gig if she had totally lost her mind. The NYRR has millions and millions and millions and is expanding all the time, especially with its charitable ventures. Plus, she has small children and I'm pretty sure she wants to raise them in NYC. USATF would be a headache she doesn't need.
Uh...my choice for CEO of USATF is no one. Break up USATF. It's a dreadful outfit, and it will never work as long as those volunteer committees are in place. Some of those people are so despicable it's...despicable.
I'm serious. Don't even try and figure out how to fix USATF. Just do away with it and commission a new federation.
I haven't heard one person say anything positive about Hightower either.
I think that you're probably right. USATF sounds like it needs a complete makeover of its Board of Directors.
Would love to hear some input from guys like Don Kardong and Frank Shorter.
