Shocking figures, but yes - it would be far worse. In case you are in doubt you can check the figures for the number of Muslim women seeking refugee status in the USA for domestic violence related claims vs. the number of American women that are fleeing to Iran or Afghanistan.

Wow, that makes me feel so much better. I just thought forcing the women to dress up to where you can barely see their eyeballs, or killing them because their nighbor raped them. This all makes sense, thank you.

I see numbers like this all the time, and would really like to see a link to a pdf of the research articles where these numbers come from. We're a huge nation, so obviously the absolute numbers for any terrible act will be fairly large, but even this seems unrealistic.
