He ran 45.50 in February in Sydney and then ran 1:43.15 to open his 800 racing a little later. I think he could challenge 45 if he raced it right now. I don't know how well he'd translate to the 1500 because at least back in his junior day his training was very technical and 800-specific with quality over quantity. He certainly wouldn't be a slouch, though. You can jog a 1:43 like he did today, you can certainly jog a 1:52 and not collapse the next 700.

Haha, joke, right? You think just cuz he can break the 800 record he can smash the mile record by 10 seconds? Unlikely by that much but I do think youre right that he could break the mile record.
