That is a contradiction, Rojo... "A talented NCAA sprinter" is someone who can be a World Class sprinter. Dude wasn't just decent. He won the NCAA 100 and 200, and ran 19.86 IN COLLEGE.
Now, he could have been doping in college, but I doubt it.
JG had the talent to bee a 9.8 guy clean. Its a bit unbelievable, really. After his initial ban, you would think he wouldn't want to be away from the sport under shady circumstances again, but he apparently didn't learn. I honestly think he may have been dumb enough not to know he was doping. I mean, wouldn't it have come out in the wire taps that he assisted in with Trevor Graham? At some point during their taped conversations, don't you think Trevor would have said something that would have implicated Gatlin? From my understanding, JG is not the sharpest tool in the shed.
I still think its a travesty that Shawn Crawford is still allowed to compete. I mean, I remember watching those 2 in my apt during the 2004 OG, and saying to my gf, "man, those 2 are doped to the gills". It was so obvious.
Having said that, I think he has the potential to break 10 and be a 9.9 guy. That could be enough to make a WC or OG team... especially on a relay.
