Thanks Doug.
This guy is on to something-at 30 years old.
Where are the rest of the results Doug?
Drugs?
I am still puzzled why is he running these super low key meets with such good times.
He could be trying to bypass the testing system

this was a completeley solo run as he led after each kilometer, it was only him and 2 runners from finland.
The guy is self coached. He is also the husband of Priscah Jepkorir who won silver medal in 3000M SC in berlin. He coaches her too.

I think you mean Eunice Jepkorir.
There is Eunice Jepkorir and Priscah Jepleting.
Is this guy gonna toe the line against real comp this year?
He'd probably get in a world class 10,000-meter race if there actually was one.
This lack of 10km races at the top level of our sport is insane. There were a total of ZERO 10km races in the top meets in Europe this year. Brussels and Hengelo didn't even have one. Strange.
It was a 10,000 meter race...referring to it as a '10k' sounds like a fun run.

nah
26'56 solo ain't fast enough to get in one
How fast could he have gone in a perfect race, ventolin^3? I noticed he died off a 13:22 opening 5k.
You sound so f***ing white ass hold!!
13'22/13'34
offers virtually less than 1s hypothetical improvement at even pace ( you get better numbers with more splits - i'll try & dig up a post about rono's 27'22wr which shows this ) - kennster's '03 win off ~ 13'50/13'00 ->26'39 at worst ( but wouda been much quicker with km or lap splits )
however, this kip drafted to 1/2 way at 1s/lap ->
~ 26'43
Indeed Kiprono Menjo is the hsuband of Eunice Jepkorir.I remember in the interview after her silver medal in Berlin 2008 olympics,Jepkoir dedicated the medal to her husband and coach-Kiprono Menjo.
i would have liked to see a 26 minute guy finish 5 minutes ahead of a 31 minute guy. that's crushing!
THREE entrants, TWO finishers in this race. Unbelievable. Must've been pretty cool for Joonatan Oporta to be in that race. How often does that happen? A 31:57 guy getting to run with a 26:56 guy? Wonder how many times he got lapped?
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
