I just missed my newscast here so I'm not sure if it was on but doubt it. I did hear about it on the radio.
People post here where you saw it/didn't see it.
I hope at the very least ESPN carried it.

The local news in Columbus, Ohio showed the race.
Wow, they did have a decent article on the meet with the upset in the headling.
Yes, out here in Los Angeles, it made the news. latimesblogs.latimes.com/sports_blog/2010/08/us-sprinter-tyson-gay-beats-100meter-world-record-holder-usain-bolt-in-stockholm.html
people still watch local news?
Wejo, you know that here in Dallas/Ft. Worth, all four networks went something like this...
"It's 10 time for news. Our top story, the Cowboys remain in San Antone helping the economy to the tune of XX million.
Now to weather. The Cowboys will have 100 degree heat for the next few days with a chance of showers. Now to business news.
The Rangers were sold, but are not worth as much as the Cowboys, who are in San Antonio bringing in millions to the local economy. Next up is sports.
In sports news, the Cowboys, and this goes on for another 15 minutes."
And Tyson Gay even has a local connection here, but hey, I ddin't see the news either so I could be wrong for once.

You're right about local sports.
It made it on the Ticket (one of the top sports radio stations in the country).
One of the hosts said to the other, "I know you don't care much for track and field, but you have a huge interest in everything Usain Bolt" And the other guy said, "Yes" and then they talked about "Rudy Gay" (NBA Player)beating him. He quickly changed it to Tyson Gay and made a joke and then they talked about how shocked they were.
Hopefully it was on ESPN. Anyone know?
It was mentioned on ESPN at 6:00 p.m. Eastern yesterday. No tape of the race though. They probably didn't have it.

This is true. Anytime somebody in the Cowboys organization farts, an army of Dallas sports reporters suddenly appears out of nowhere with microphones extended.
Saw it on the news last night (here in Central Victoria Australia).
I rarely watch local news, but I would imagine it probably got mentioned somewhere as I live in KY and Tyson is from Lexington originally and still has family here. Also, the race was one of ESPN's top plays on the Friday night/Saturday morning Sportscenters. I was happily surprised to see track given a top play.
Ray Woodson, the sports update host on KNBR radio in San Francisco, reported on the Gay win on an afternoon report and played the British announcer's call of the race.
KNBR is premier sports talk radio station in Northern California and is the flagship station for the SF Giants, 49ers, and Golden State Warriors.
It was mentioned tonight during the World Series of Poker on ESPN
Nothing in the L. A. Times paper.
Yes, for L. A. Times on-line article & Blog.
It was covered on NY1 - repeatedly, as they have a pretty short news cycle that they show over and over and over...
The NBC-TV affiliate in Chicago played it on the 10PM newscast.
They talked about it on the John Thompson show on ESPN radio.
Doc Walker "John, would you believe the boy Bolt lost to Tyson Gay today?"
JT "Doc, are you SERIOUS?"
Doc "Coach I'm reading it but I just don't think it could be true."
JT "That boy Bolt. That boy can RUN."
Doc "I aint gonna believe that til I actually see it."
JT "umm hmmmm"
It did.
But Bolt "injured for the rest of the year" was a way bigger news.
I heard it on one of the top-of-the-hour updates on 106.7 The Fan (DC) Friday night. I'm sure Chad Dukes would have been pissed if he heard track being discussed. During the world cup, the dude ranted for days about how stupid and boring soccer is and they wouldn't talk about it because nobody cared.
Gay beating Bolt led SportsCenter at least once.
