that he called her a 16 year old british girl, i would guess he would know british are not americans. |

I ran at the same club until this year - no way she's 6' 2'' - well well under 6' I'd have said. Was always amusing at the clubs annual awards evening- watched the U13 and then U15s go up and pick up their award for winning their "league" and Jodie was twice the size of any of them - even the boys! |

There are conflicting accounts of this girl's height. |

Yes, but she was drugged and had to use Johnnie Cockran to get her off the charge. |

Fairbs (or more likely person pretending to be him) - previous posts were quite clearly referring to Williams as being 6'2'' not the American so please shut the f*** up. Regards. |

No need to tell us what we already know. "She had a brush with drugs while in high school in 1992. She missed an out-of-competition drug test — an overnight package informing her of the test was misplaced in her coach's office — but was exonerated in a hearing at which her representative was famed lawyer Johnnie Cochran." http://www.usatoday.com/sports/olympics/2007-10-05-jones-analysis_N.htm |

Ok to be impressed with the times she's run. I find the winning streak to be VERY UNIMPRESSIVE though, ESPECIALLY since it goes back to when she was 11. |

I'm in Moncton and just saw her run and then up close in the mixed zone. She's 5'7" and slim ... |

Says 5'7 here! 100m final should be interesting, pity we can't watch it |

Well, let’s hope we’ve found someone who might finally break the fabulous Kathy Cook’s British records for the 100, 200 and 400, set way back in 81 and 84. Kathy - the first clean runner home in the 400 at the 84 Games. |

But it does include the Worth Youth Championships (U18) which she won aged 15. It's not that unimpressive. |

Some of the specific decent races she's won and the times she's run are what is impressive, NOT a winning streak that goes back to when she was 11. |

Chalk up another one for her unimpressive streak. Gonna be an interesting race in the final later on. All times seem to be a bit down in the semis despite the wind being favourable. Hard to really tell how they were running though without seeing it. (anyone watch it?) |

Very easy. Well done Jodie. |

Purvis was never in it (to win). Very surprised - but Williams looked very good. She has a great upside once she gains some more strength (muscle). |
