Seattle Pacific stand out Jessica Pixler will go to Colorado for one final season, after winning 12 NCAA Division II championships. Way to go, Jessica!

Nice!
Interesting. I bet CU would rather she had a season of cross country eligibility left.
Good for her. I once heard she was really considering going to Baylor.
Good Lord, another athlete for Stanley to ruin.
She will dominate D1. I wonder if, with Wetmore, she will trend towards the 5000?
Four years under Doris' training, and now go to Colorado, where the idea of training is to drive up to 15,000 ft and go for a 20 mile run? I doubt she'll survive long enough to even put on a uniform, let alone run in a meet.
You'll need a plane to "drive to 15,000 ft" in Colorado.
It's called sarcasm...
My feeling stands though. She'll never run a meet for Colorado.
It's called poorly-executed, actually hyperbole. Your feeling is just as nonsensical.
Congrats to her! I think we'll see a nice 5k PR and a slight improvement for her 1500m by this time next year.

Stanley?! Who's Stanley? I thought it was Heather and Mark, no?
That said, this would seem like a high-stakes situation. If Jessica ends up on the shelf with injuries....

Jenny Barringer from Florida survived.

Yes, she did. And where were Laura Tremblay, Allie McLaughlin, Emily Hanenburg, Laura Thweatt, and several others this spring? Yup, survivors all.
It's a little difficult to say because schools don't typically say why someone isn't racing, but it's difficult to imagine another school that has as high of an injury rate as CU, especially among women.
Barringer survived. Props to her for that, but you're missing the forest for a tree.
Here's another tree for you, Emma Coburn. But there are several more hurt that didn't get listed above.
If you're going to run for CU you'd better be sure you can withstand high mileage.
You are to be applauded for not being afraid to let your ignorance show.

Want to make a wager on that? And when she does run meets at CU will you come back and own up? Probably not.
Jenny is hurt now....not from 3 months in colorado springs....most of the athletes that survived to run well after CU have suffered MAJOR injuries upon leaving CU.
What is somewhat interesting to me is that as far as I can recall from RWB, Wetmore is an atheist, while both Barringer and Pixler are christians. If so, the coach-athlete synergy must be very much on pragmatic terms.
Great point, there has never been a meaningful working relationship between any Christian and any atheist.
As for the other dumbass, yes the cause of Barringer's stress reaction has been what she has been doing for training under her current coach.
Hmmm....not so sure I agree with the underlying premise here. She's going to CU as a fifth year senior (not as a frosh or soph). She's already fun fairly good times for 5K and is obviously very, very good in cross as well...so, she's got good strength to go with her speed. I get the impression she's a workhorse. While I'll miss getting to see her run in the Seattle area, I actually think this is a great fit and opportunity for her. Also, I believe Erika and Doris have prepared her well. Hoovis
