On a hobby jogger site...and after I discovered LetsRun, it rocked my world.
I was on facebook and someone sent me a "you know you're a runner if..." page invite. I read through some and one was "letsrun is your homepage." I went and got hooked.
I was reading some comments to a video on Flotrack and someone said that Flotrack had replaced Letsrun as their homepage. Now Letsrun is MY homepage.
Wejo's singlet at a Stanford meet back in the day.
When I was running Collegiate Cross-Country in 2004. I heard there was "smack talk" amongst teams in our conference and a thread about the "Best Beard" in the conference. My coach later banned me from posting on the website but continued.. The rest is history...
Had heard about it from some girl in undergrad. Checked it out didn't think much of it. Kept coming back as I started to get more interested in running. Found some useful and entertaining advice in the forums. I now list it was one of my websites on my facebook.
My college roommate bought a "Team Wejo" shirt prior to the 2000 Olympic Trials. Naturally, I asked what the hell "Team Wejo" was. And I found Letsrun.
from my son
I was running in a pack at the Las Vegas Marathon in 1999 with these twin brothers wearing the bright blue and yellow Puma racing outfits with "LETSRUN.COM" stamped on them with homemade-looking transfer letters. I was so focused on my race that I tried to figure out what letsrun.com was for about 23 miles. The Brojos finished ahead of me as Rojo nearly qualified for the trials, but I never got the chance to ask them what it was!
Saw the same thing on the Facebook thing about Letsrun. Came, got really confused by the horrible setup and the stupid tag-line, but came back half a year later and unfortunately, I have to come back to get my news.
I was searching for a place where my dreams would become reality.
It came to me in a dream. I don't think it was a choice on my part
had read rungroteschief.com in the late 90s. . .
when that went under, i went to tnfmedia.com . . .
when that went under, i somehow made it to letsrun. . . it seemed logical somehow that letsrun was the tnfmedia replacement. did JK have some kind of input there too? i think i remember that.
In a conversation about Joan Hansen "the first American to fall in the race," in the '84 3000 meters final. The month before she came to our club race and it seems that no one else recognized her. I did. But I left her alone even though I wanted to talk to her so badly a little bit about the 3000 meters that included two favorites of mine in Maricica and Zola. I wanted to let her know how something she said in a magazine interview one time helped me out when I tried it.
Anyway, I waited one month later at our next club race to ask a few others if they had noticed her. The conversation just went on until someone mentioned letsrun!
I was surfing for porn and came across Mighty Porn Stache and clicked. I'm not a runner. You guys are gross.
i googled "jogging in place" and pop, there it was!
Many moons ago I was looking for Collegiate National XC results. And here I am.

I think the first time I heard about it was seeing it on Wejo's singlet as he lead the chase pack during the 5,000m semi-finals at the 2000 Olympic Trials.
In some references on Runnersworld discussion forum in 2001.
