Didn't Berry run 8:10 for 3k his sophomore year?
If he can better that i'd give him the 3k.

No comments on Kirwa placing 47th at the NCAA Championships? Pretty good race!

That is an incredible race by Kirwa. If you look at pictures from the first parts of the race he was right up there with the top 20 guys. Apperantly he faded a little bit, but still. 7 spots out of All-American. Awesome.

Berry ran 8:10 a few years ago and Thompson ran 8:15 last year. Thompson has better mile speed than Berry and was better in cross country this year, so I'd give him the nod in the 3k.

Western may as well just accept third this year. There contention for winning went down the drain when app became fully funded

I heard there was going to be a keg of 4loko at Alec Meyers batchelor party. Can anyone confirm this? I'd sure love to be "present" for that one....

Stephen Hammond has aids and will never be as fast as Michael Hammond.

For sure. What a sick race from Moen-- 8:05 is unreal. Congrats, App. Let's all put the SoCon back on the map.

Really? Just let the results speak for themselves...You're embarrassing....Until App gets a guy to NCAAs, or hell even the NCAA Regional (without a SLOCON Auto Qualifier), it's not worth mentioning.

Those guys are putting together a good season and the races at Akron were spectacular; however there are more important things to accomplish than simply being atop the performance list of an underachieving mid major conference.

easy there bro, people shat themselves when berry ran 8:10 2 years ago, and now an 8:05- the socon is getting faster and App is leading the way. those guys aren't just trying to be the top of the performance list- they're running as fast as they can.
so no one can get excited about anything unless its a nationals qualifier? you sound bitter as hell.
Never forget

Guys lets not forget whats important here. Stephen Hammond has aids and will never be as fast as Michael Hammond. But on a real note, what are some predictions. Top three from 800-5000?? Hell top 8 from all events if someone feels like it????
yeah, so
RE: 2010 SoCon Cross Country 2/21/2011 8:01PM - in reply to Never forget Reply | Return to Index | Report Post
Prediction:

800 - Taylor, Hudgins, Gilmer

Mile - Moen, Hudgins, Taylor

3000 - Moen, Berry, Kirwa

5000 - Berry, Kirwa, Soderman

DMR - App, Western, ummm...let's go with Samford

Based on the races so far Berry and Kirwa look to be the only two who could break App up in the longer distances. Gilmer's 800 is looking good but not sure what mile shape he's in.
