It is not the UK! It is England.
Go to Scotland and see who they will be rooting for tomorrow. It is not England!
I cannot wait for Saturday. That being said, I think England will win 2-1. It will be a good match.
USA 18
England 2
England 5 USA 0 (Heskey getting all five)
3-1 Limeys

I agree
England 3 USA 1
Sorry, but the US backline is just too suspect right now. Fabio Capella (or whatever it is) has seen the US play multiple times and will take advantage of the US deficiencies in the back.
Rooting for the US but I don't think it's realistic. :-(
3-2, both back lines are weak, both sides are going to have lots of chances.
There is no backline in soccer
This is the world cup, anything can happen. I think even with Ferdinand healthy we have a strong shot. England has fabulous individual players, but the US seems to bring out more as a team.
USA 3 - England 2
In the famous quote
"USA, Obama, Bush , Clinton your country is getting a doing. haha
England 3- Usa 0
We are world football
us 2 england 1.
we will shock the world. 1950 again.
2-1 USA. The biggest problem for both teams will be the fullbacks getting caught out. England has two great fullbacks in Ashley Cole and Glen Johnson, but both have a tendency to get exposed on the counter-attack. England will have the lion's share of possession Saturday, which will invite Cole and Johnson further up field, and that will lead to a pair of counter attack goals from Donovan and Dempsey. England will ultimately win the group and advance to the semi-finals (group C winners the easiest path to the semis of any team), but they will lose against the US. USA! USA! USA!
USA 3 England 1
Look for 2 first half goals - one lucky and the other well deserved. England throws everything at the US in an ugly second half resulting in a goal with 15 minutes left. More frantic play from England results in a counter attack goal in the waning minutes to finish the scoring.
England is crushed and the collective US conscious is vaguely aware that something unique may have just happened.
Am I the only one who notices Torres play like a fireball in the friendly against Turkey? Could he not be a major factor?
