I'm here in Eugene, the stands are full and the crowd is into it. The men's 800 semi finals are coming up.
Let me know if you want any updates

We're waiting...
andrews jogs 1:45
robbie andrews 1:45 wow
1:45.54 for Andrews in the first heat!! Moved up from next to last with 150 to go. Oregon's Travis Thompson took it out in 24.43. Andrews was in last at that point. 400 in 50.6.
Fastest mark by a collegian this year.
Well that's a start!
that was not a jog. but still a great race for everyone it
Thanks
will there be videos?
2nd Heat won by Evans of Georgia as Rutt and Jones faded. Freshman Greer of Oregon ran tough to 1:46.99 3rd... might make final but not sure as first heat was very fast.
does anyone know what the 3rd and 4th place times from the first heat of the 8 were?
does greer have a shot? should've gone a little earlier...
Last heat was much slower than the first 2 as Wheating moved up (he actually did look like he was jogging) to win in 1:48.8. Wheating went out in last.
Gowell from Baylor is the other auto from heat 3.
Have to wait to see all the qualifiers
Wheating wins the final. he is way to confident and now more rested 1:45.5 hurts 1:48.8 (for wheating) does not. andrew's being caught up in the fastest heat of qualifying sealed his fate.
4th was low 1:46 in the first heat. greer out.

This again points out the stupidity of a qualfication system based on pace.
Running needs to come out of the dark ages and have qualifying based on TIME, on the runner's performances, not on place.
It's raining pretty good in Eugene right now.

I think you're forgetting that Andrews has a day off tomorrow while wheating will have to run the eqivalent of a sub 4 or better most likely.
The final will include Andrews, Primm, Samoei, Roller, Evans, Martin, Wheating, and Gowell. Despite running 1:46.17 Jock didn't make the final. Wow.
no i am not, I was in the crowd already giving wheating the advantage if they race all things equal ie. rest... I think that andrews going 3 sec. faster in his qualifier and being less experienced is equal to wheating jogging and then jogging +kicking again tmrw. I think in terms of fatigue they will feel pretty similar for the final. therefore equal. and like i said in my opinion , when fatigue levels are equal Wheating will win... barely.
anyone know about the womens race? my live feed is frozen on the start list for the second heat
